A year later he was already on a surfboard and about to get hooked on his passion for the ocean.
At age 7 this passion grew when his father put him on a windsurf board for the first time.
For the next 6 years he accompanied his father, sister and his little brother sailing around the island and enjoying all the easy spots to learn wave riding that Guadeloupe has to offer.
By this time Camille was 14 and already attracting attention as a talented wave rider by winning a number of local contests, including the St Anne Wave Classic where he took the trophy for best youth contender and best wave rider.
In 2004 he went to Maui (Hawaii) for the first time to take part in his first international junior wave event where he came in second.
That’s also when he met one of the finest individuals in windsurfing, Keith Teboul, who now owns the famous board brand “Quatro International”. While Camille was in Maui, Keith gave him enthusiastic support and encouragement to continue his windsurfing career.
Between 2005 and 2011 Camille continued his outstanding performances for such a young rider.

2007/ 17th at his first PWA in Brazil
2008/ 15th PWA in Cabo Verde
2009/ 1 place at the Tahiti Windsurf Challenge, best rider of the Reunion Wave Classic and 13th PWA in Cabo Verde
2010/ 2nd place with his team at the Reunion Wave Classic
